Re-visiting Travel Photos - Spain - July 2019

Hello! I hope you're all doing well. Today we'll be looking at photos I took in Spain between the 3rd and 12th of July 2019. The photos were shot in Barcelona, Pamplona, and San Sebastian.

With these re-edits, I first wanted to fix photos taken on my GoPro Hero 7. GoPro photos for me always seem to come out weird. Very harsh, but soft at the same time, so they become a bit of a pain to actually fix and balance. I managed to edit them to a spot I was happy with and adjusted the colour a little more. I used that preset on the rest of the photos with adjustments made to a few areas. My goal with the photos was to make a warmer palette and an overall brighter picture.

Here are my favourite edits.

This one was taken in Barcelona after visiting La Rambla. We were going back to our accommodation and decided to check out the smaller streets that branched off our way back.

These 2 photos were shot half an hour before we all had to line up for the running of the Bulls. It was around 6:30am and we had grabbed a coffee and a pastry just before arriving here. The streets were still alive with people carrying on the party from the night before.

These 3 photos were taken on the opening celebration of San Fermin. The craziest celebration I have ever been to.

The 2 photos below are from San Sebastian with my drone. They are actually screen grabs from a video which is why the quality is a little low. I really like the lighting captured. I worked well with the warm palette.

None of the photos had edits created so these are the 're-edits' next to the originals. Let me know what you think. I didn't want to go crazy with mood and tone, was just aiming for a warmer palette with a bit more saturation to bring it to life. I hope you enjoy them!

That's it for this post, join me next week for another one. Until then, stay safe!
