Re-visiting Travel Photos - France 2019

Hi everyone, today's post is on photos taken in France. While we were over there we got to attend Bastille Day at the Eiffel Tower and spend a few days in Strasbourg roaming 'Petite France'.

With these photo edits, I wanted to bring in a 35mm style. I figured I hadn't done it for a while so I'd make a new style for it, instead of using an existing one. The aim was to create a low quality, warm-toned, shadowless image. Wherever blacks are present I didn't want it to dip out. Instead, I wanted it to be faded and still have information there, so I raised the curve bar in the shadows to do that.

I did the same for the photos taken in Strasbourg but with a slight colour shift because the photos were taken at different times of the day.

If you want to read about our time spent there, click the link to the blog post below.

If you want to check out the short videos I made from Paris and Strasbourg, you can check them out here.

I'll share my favourite edits from Paris and Strasbourg and then you can check out the original images and edits side by side.

Thanks for reading and I'll catch you next Friday. Until then, stay safe.
