After Caroline had come down and left back for Sweden again, I didn't do much filming and photo taking. I worked a lot, tried to catch up on sleep, and hung out with the guys at the bar. I had a few days off the bar here and there, and went to China Town for the year of the dog festival with friends from work. We ate chinese and drank. My friend Gracie showed us the hidden bar in china town. You went through a dodgy looking metal door which led down a hall way to an amazingly well laid out speakeasy basement cocktail bar called Experimental. I went to see The Shape of Water with my friend Kilian and always leads into drinking too. Most nights off work actually ended me up at work for the half price drinks and chats. I also got a tatoo I wanted done for a while in London at Good Times Tattoo.
As February came to an end, my last day was also coming at Adventure Bar. I bought a Tambourine on the 26th which was my last shift at Adventure bar. As I walked in everyone who was working had written "I love Jack" or "Jack <3" on the arms and legs with highlighter. They were also wearing colourful socks and bandannas. I got changed and when I got out the room I could hear the song 'Jack' by 'Breach' playing on the speakers and everyone was out the front and we did a conga line to the bar. It was the best thing ever. That night was so much fun. At the end of the night our manager put on a song I requested. 'Northeast Party House - Dare' and I shook the Tambourine to it. Pops sprayed me with the Soda gun and made me stand on top of the Speed rail. After we packed down the bar they gave me a card which they had all signed and I did a speech to them all which got emotional.
Caroline arrived in London on the 27th and that was also the day the snow storm came through London. It was snowing for 3 days in London. The last 3 days I was there. We went out to a bar called Ballie Ballerson which was a cocktail bar with a mega ball pit for adults only which was heaps of fun. And then to Adventure Bar for drinks and also to Aladdin the Musical, my very first Musical in London. The 28th we went out to Duck and Waffle on the 40th floor for breakfast/lunch and then packed my bags getting ready for leaving the next day. We went to Adventure Bar again for drinks and my roommate Michael joined us. It was a hectic night. I think we spent $100 pound on drinks and that was with my half price discount. It was also 2for1 deal on. We had about 15 drinks on the table and then did some free shots and got some free drinks given to us by the legend Sophie. We stayed till pack up and the last song they played was pony which ended up with Michael and myself on the bar top with our shirts off and whipped cream on our body. I said my last goodbyes to everyone before leaving. Caroline and I had planned to go to Cirque Le Soir and headed there. When we arrived they didn't let us in because we got there too late for the 'on the door' list which was a joke because we booked over a week ago. With that, we headed home and we had to jump off the bus we were on because I had to vomit, so it was probably a smart idea we were on our way home.
On the 1st we had a big breakfast at home and I said bye to Michael. Caroline went with me to the station and I said bye to her. She would be in Australia 2 weeks later. I got to the airport and my flight left about 6pm from memory. I was bound for a stop over in Jakarta and then in Melbourne on the 3rd. Mum met me at the airport which was a welcoming sight.
My time in London and Sweden was great and also a great life lesson. I plan on being over there again May 2019, during their summer and our winter.
